Arizona Commission on the Arts Grants are available.

Grants, programs and services for individual artists and artist organizations  are provided to support individual artists in all disciplines for project-related costs that allow the artists increased time to research and develop ideas or new works. The specific definition of eligible projects is purposely left flexible to respond to artists' ideas, dreams and needs.

Arizona Art Alliance Events Now Planned:

The Alliance has now 2 shows scheduled for the year;  in different parts of the Valley.  The Holland Gallery in The Fall and the WHAM Gallery in Surprise in the Spring.   In addition, they provide the On-line Gallery; check the website for details on how to get exhibited in this worldwide gallery.

A PAG Member can become a juried Arizona Art Alliance member by paying  $25 (non-refundable) and having three pieces of art juried in.

(see the Alliance website for more details, and for participation.

Most of the members of Phoenix Artists Guild are juried members of Arizona Art Alliance.  The members produce and display their art in art show and sale events and exhibits, displaying juried fine art, including two and three-dimensional pieces.  They share their knowledge and experiences through exhibits, workshops and art classes.

Get juried into the Arizona Art Alliance, for great opportunities to show in their major shows, as well as theme shows all during the year.  Check the Jury Guidelines and (Jury Applications for more information).

Be sure to check the Arizona Art Alliance Website, for  Other Artist Opportunities including reasonable priced workshops available to everyone and workshop space for instructors.

Arizona Art Alliance shows will now be periodic 3-5 per year.  The availability of these periodic Alliance shows for juried artists affords great opportunities to show your artwork and SELL!  The jurying process is now very quick and completely non-biased by the selection panel.  Artwork submitted is checked to published standards of the Jury Application, for each show independently.

Remember, one wishing to participate in the Alliance shows and Gift Shop will need to be selected independently for each exhibit and show.    If a piece has been shown within a year, it should be put to rest for a while.  That is not to say it cannot be shown again, but the artist must wait a minimum of 1 year, to encourage them to show newer work and keep their work fresh.  Modifications will be made to the entry form to clarify this 1-year time per

Since the closing of the gallery in 2014, the Arizona Art Alliance has focused on establishing relationships with other galleries around the greater Phoenix area to bring exhibit opportunities to member organizations from a variety of locations. Annual exhibits currently are planned at: HOLLAND GALLERY (October 2016) 34250N.60th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85266 WHAM GALLERY (March 2017) 16560 N. Dysart Rd., Surprise AZ 85378 VISION GALLERY/Chandler Center for the Arts (July/August 2016)10 E. Chicago ST./250 N. Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ 85225.

Other private art galleries are being sought to increase Alliance-sponsored exhibits.

Additional current offerings include the ongoing ON-LINE GALLERY, an "on-line only" show ("Beat the Heat"), both on the Alliance website, and availability for individual artists to show for a month on the Alliance Newsletter and more (see later in this article for application directions). Specific application information for the 'Beat the Heat" and VISION gallery show are available in the March 2016 Newsletter.

There are 16 organizations who have been randomly drawn to participate in the June and July rotation for Holland Gallery in 2018. There are 8 "wall spots" available in June and again in July.   PAG was the only organization that voted unanimously to participate in this opportunity, and  we were drawn for "wall 3" in June.  (see attached  prospectus)
